Welcome to CYWA
The Conestoga Youth Wrestling Association is an all-volunteer, non-profit youth wrestling organization dedicated to introducing local Kindergarden through 8th Grade students to the sport of wrestling. The focus of our program is to build self-discipline, sportsmanship, self-confidence and physical fitness. We participate in the Inter-County Wrestling League.
Welcome to the 2010 – 2011 Wrestling Season
Registration for the 2010-2011 season will open in early September, so please check back here at the start of the School year. Save $10 per wrestler if registration is post-marked by 10-4-2010.
ICWL (Inter County Wrestling League) regular season meets occur every Saturday from January 8th through February 19th. Meets are typically an all-morning event. The ICWL also sponsors post-season Novice and Open Championship tournaments. There are various tournaments throughout the season that your child can participate in. You can enter your child in as many tournaments as you like. Keep in mind your child’s comfort and skill level, as some of these tournaments are more challenging than others. Our coaches will be available to help you to select the most appropriate tournaments for your child as the season progresses. Feel free to discuss the options with the CYWA coaches.
Practices will begin in November (TBD) and will be two nights per week. The wrestlers will be broken into multiple practice groups depending on age, years of experience, weight and ability. These groups will all practice in the wrestling room at Episcopal Academy. The wrestling room is located in the Dixon Athletic Center. The practices typically run for an hour or hour-and-a-half depending on the group.

The 2009-2010 Season Banquet was held on March 20, 2010, in the T/E Middle School Auditorium. The event was a huge success! Congratulations to Kevin Zhao who was the recipient of the 2009-2010 Pioneer Award. Thanks to all the parents and coaches for making the event such a great time.
2010 Wrestling Season ICWL Championship Tournament
The 2010 ICWL Championship Tournament was held on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at United Training Center (USTC). There were approximately 800 wrestlers from 40 different ICWL teams. The results are posted on the tournament page.
