Welcome to CYWA
The Conestoga Youth Wrestling Association is an all-volunteer, non-profit youth wrestling organization dedicated to introducing local Kindergarden through 8th Grade students to the sport of wrestling. The focus of our program is to build self-discipline, sportsmanship, self-confidence and physical fitness. We participate in the Inter-County Wrestling League.
Welcome to the 2011 – 2012 Wrestling Season
Practice is Underway
Practices started the week of November 7th. We currently have about 90 wrestlers registered. They have been broken into three practice groups. Group 1 & 2 (younger / least experienced) practices on Monday and Wednesday nights (Group 1 - 6:15 to 7:15) and (Group 2- 6:45 to 8:15). Group 3 (older / more experienced) practices on Tuesday and Thursday nights 6:45 to 8:30. For the 2011-2012 season, these groups will all practice in the wrestling room at Episcopal Academy. The wrestling room is located in the Dixon Athletic Center.
Again this year the ICWL is hosting an advanced practice on Monday nights for our more advanced wrestlers. It is a very tough practice with wrestlers from several local clubs. If you are interested in this practice you must talk with your coaches who will advise you. The practices are held at Church Farm School on Route 30 in Exton. There is also a $40 fee for the season if you are interested to help defray the rental costs for the space.
Check the schedule page for dates and times. ICWL (Inter County Wrestling League) regular season meets occur every Saturday from January 7th through February 18th. Regular season meets are listed in red and are the only required participation dates. Meets are typically all-morning events. The ICWL also sponsors post-season Novice and Open Championship tournaments. There are also various tournaments throughout the season that your child can participate in. You can enter your child in as many tournaments as you like. Keep in mind your child’s comfort and skill level, as some of these tournaments are more challenging than others. Our coaches will be available to help you to select the most appropriate tournaments for your child as the season progresses. Feel free to discuss the options with the CYWA coaches.

The 2010-2011 Season Banquet was held on March 20, 2011, in the T/E Middle School Auditorium. The event was a huge success! Congratulations to Chris MacKenzie who was the recipient of the 2010-2011 Pioneer Award. Thanks to all the parents and coaches for making the event such a great time.
2011 Wrestling Season ICWL Championship Tournament
The 2011 ICWL Championship Tournament was held on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Competitive Edge Sports. There were approximately 743 wrestlers from 43 different ICWL teams. The results are posted on the tournament page.
